Secure check delivery
The S5 check deposit terminal has been designed to make check deposit as secure as possible, protecting the bank, the check issuer and the check recipient. For this reason, the scanner built into the terminal is configured to check 5 specific control points before the check is acquired:
- Amount recognition: the scanner automatically reads the amount indicated on the cheque, thus avoiding manual entry by the customer.
- Signature: a cheque cannot be registered without the issuer’s signature. The scanner automatically detects the signature in the space provided.
- Payee: just like the signature, the payee’s name is required for cheques to be issued.
- Date: this ensures that the cheque is valid and has not been post-dated, i.e. noted at a future date.
The back of the cheque: the back of the cheque must be signed for the purchase to be valid.

Technical features
The S5 check deposit terminal embeds our ARChe software, enabling bank customers to automate the acquisition of checks deposited by their customers. The software can be customized to suit your bank. What’s more, the kiosk’s functionalities enable identification in 2 ways: either via a bank card (available as an option), or via a touch screen by typing in the bank account identification number. Its CE certification proves its efficiency and robustness.
